An abundance of aids paired with education through our Independent Living Skills program makes it possible for people who are visually impaired to build self-reliance and achieve their full potential.
Instruction includes basic living skills, such as communication, cooking, money management, Braille, mobility and safety, all tailored to the individual.
Aids can be as simple as Braille tape measures and adhesive markers for labeling a microwave oven panel to as high tech as talking watches and electronic video magnifiers.
Clients can also get practical experience in our on-site learning environments, like a fully equipped kitchen.
With the wide range of skills taught through this program, it’s possible to maintain independence and live life to the fullest.
