BSCs & SSSCs
LAB operates the Base Supply Center at Barksdale AFB and the Self Service Supply Center at Fort Polk under the auspices of the Javits Wagner O’Day (JWOD) Act, known as AbilityOne, and in compliance with "Federal Acquisition Regulations" (FAR). The act requires the federal government to procure products and services from non-profit agencies that employ blind or severely handicapped people. Our Supply Centers’ are another source of employment for people who are blind. The Centers are also stocked with many Skilcraft® products which strengthens manufacturing jobs for people who are blind across the United States.
